From the editors of DadWagon.com, a bloggy celebration of the foul-smelling joys of fatherhood, comes a monthly reading series featuring some of New York’s most entertaining dads. Every month, procreative writers will tell parenting tales that may make you laugh, will probably make you cringe with self-recognition, and will almost definitely send you to the bar […]
Anastas will join author Reyna Grande ("The Distance Between Us") and Hole guitarist Eric Erlandson ("Letters to Kurt") in a discussion of memoir and "Writing the Unthinkable" at the Brooklyn Book Festival. Moderated by GQ senior editor Logan Hill.
The Bennington Writer's Series continues in the downstairs performance space at the Cornelia Street Cafe, hosted by Robert V. Hansmann. Anastas will be reading from his memoir "Too Good to Be True."
Join Anastas for the launch of "Too Good to Be True" at the venerable Brooklyn book-seller BookCourt. There will be a short reading, an author Q&A, and good old-fashioned book launch party.
Anastas will be a visiting scholar at the Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio. He will deliver at talk on his essay "The Foul Reign of Emerson's 'Self-Reliance" in conjunction with the artist Todd Slaughter's exhibition "American Primitives."
